"The only sound was the furious scratching of my pen, and the gentle breathing of everyone else. No, that wasn't really the only sound. The night was full of sounds. Aside from the typical sounds of the night; birds, wind, creaking, there was the sound of the night itself. Heavy and peacful. Still, and there. The sound of silence if you will. It was that sound that kept me awake. The Sound of Silence kept me awake. Maybe I WAS going crazy!"
I'm kinda hyper right now, and in a ranting and raving mood.
I am going to be perfectly honest to you. This post is going to be all about myself. It isn't really a change from the rest of my posts, but oh well.
MJ is getting ready to go to Running Start next school year. I am going to be left completely alone! Not really, but no older sisters at home all the time! I should be thrilled, but I am scared. Scared that I am going to be bored out of my mind, and the girls won't be there to tell me what to do, and to annoy me. It isn't like they are leaving for ever, but they are going to be gone for most of the day.
OK, so this post is going to be really random, and probably make no sense. Fair warning. Here it goes:
Aside from when the Carlsons are out, this summer could be extremely boring
I'm tired of feeling left out
ugh ugh ugh
yah
so
um
I get my braces off in a week!
Beth cut my bangs the other day!
You know what is really funny? OK, our friends, the Geyers moved to South Carolina a year ago. When they still lived in Washington, Mrs. Geyer gave me clothes from this her boss's kids. Well, I got some of those clothes yesterday, from Dr. Bacon, who is Mrs. Geyers dad. The clothes are so typical. Super small, brand names like abercrombie and aeropostale. Some of the clothes still have the price tag on them, and have never been worn! I wonder if they think I have a really bad sense of fashion, and send them to be, or they just randomly buy clothes, and then discard them.
The other day, I put a shirt on, and felt really skinny. I wasn't super skinny, but I felt fine! I was comfortable with how I was. Later I weighed myself, and was about 130. Great. I'm the heaviest I have ever been in my entire life, and I feel the skinniest. I am going crazy. Oh well :D I guess, I feel fine. I'm tired of TRYING to be skinny. I am not fat, I know that, but I am . . . .. sturdy.
Well, I need to go blow dry my hair, and my new bangs that Bethany cut the other day :)
"It's a separate peace
a place all on my own
I feel a little closer to home
I close my eyes
and block out the noise
it's just me
in my separate peace"
Bye!

"Enough about me, what do you think about me?"
-I had you fooled for a sec, didn't I. You thought I was going to stop talking about myself! hahahahaha not a chance! ;)-

I think you're funny ;-).
What, by the way, does the title mean in context of your post? Or does it just add to the purposeful randomness?
Can't wait to be out there.
My advise is don't be consumed about your body weight. Seek to maintain it as the temple of Christ (See 1 Cor. 6), but also realize that God is pleased when you seek to be healthy, balanced, and responsible, not when when you try to look like a fashion model!! The other thing too is being content with the body God has GIVEN you, not the body you wish you had. Keep up the good attitude. Sturdy is amazing ;-)
Why don't you write a book this summer? That would keep it not boring. Or better yet - write a play to direct and perform with everyone!!!!
Come back next time for more ramblings with Julie!! Love you lots. Your equally random cousin.
OH, the title doesn't really have anything to do with the rest. It's from a song, that I don't really understand. Love is not a victory march. I think that has to do with everything. You know, not everything is going to be absolutely amazing, and victorious. But we keep going, and keep plodding, and I guess when we look back, it may be a victory march .. . i don't know.
Yah, I know what you mean about being content, and not trying to look like a model. I just need to focus on being healthy, not skinny.
A book isn't a bad idea! I was thinking about writing about the adventures we all have when you come out :)
Thanks for listening! btw, how much longer till your done with school?
Well, we'll have to have some pretty interesting adventures then!!!
Four more days and I'll be done! Then I'll start my victory march ;-)
Four days!! Wow!! Have fun being done!!!!!
OH, and when you're done with school, you'll have to put up more blog posts :)
I second Katie's last comment to Julie. :-)
It's okay to talk about yourself on your blog, that's kind of the whole entire point.
Beth and Michaela are stll gonna be around a lot, and don't you think you'll enjoy some things about being the oldest while they're gone? I bet you'll become much closer with the twins and Nate and have lots of really good times. Still, I can understand how that adjustment would be hard at first.
I know what you mean about people passing on clothes to you that you would never wear... hahaha! People can be so funny. I bet it had nothing to do with your fashion sense- they just thought the clothes would be in your size. :-)
yah, I know. I guess I really wanna be going somewhere. Honestly, I am tired of being at home all the time. . . . so yah . . .
Okay, okay. I get the hint!
P.s. - Sheryl said that last comment sounded angry. I was really not saying it angrily - so I'm sorry about any misunderstanding due to the lack of non-verbal signs. I will try to get a post up soon. ;-)
Julie, I doubt that you are ever angry. I understand ;)
Hey, you have a cell phone, right? Could you email me your cell phone number? I have a special program that enables me to text you, if you like. Just be sure and not put it up on blog, since this isn't a private blog.
Oh and ITS YOUR LAST DAY OF SCHOOl!!! right? I hope you enjoy it!
My goodness! A lot of comments going on here.
Always fun to hear wassup in your world, Katie :) Especially right now while I'm at a hotel and being exceedingly bored...lol. Horray for bloggers!
and you have bangs now? Wow you should post a pic on FB. I bet it looks really cute on you :D
haha what do I think of you? I think you're incredibly sweet and adorable :) And that it'll be fun seeing ya at camp in a few months! I'm really looking forward to camp...
