The Town Called Poetry

Poetry

There was a town called Poetry
The mayor was Synecdoche
Across the street lived old King Cole
He may have been a metaphor

One day the town did teeter
It had left the hectameter
But when the day was all done
they found it was an awful pun

Shakespear lived, yes it was he!
Very good with Similes
But when it came to personification
The people took  a long vacation

The barber was under lots of stress
His cousin was called Anapest
She was in a lot of pain
Cause she gave birth to a quatrain

Couplets and triplets aren't that bad
But tetrameters are very sad
Rhyming was in their very creed
This was a town called Poetry

Once upon a time . . .

Once upon a time was a girl who lived in a big family. That family went on a trip and had tons of fun.
They boiled in Death Valley, the froze in the blue mountains.
They danced with the wolves, and they soared with hot air balloons.
They played with friends, they dreamed about others.
They thought about disney land, and they walked under arches.
They flew with the bats, and they swam underwater.
They drove several hours and are now running everywhere.
They came back from their trip a happy family, sick of sitting and ready run. They laughed in the fresh Washington air and remembered happily the memories of the trip. They watched the slide show of the 500 pictures, and lived happily ever after.
