To read or not to read

OK, so I need some advice/help. Elaina and I were discussing the topic of reading books with magic in it. It's pretty controversial in our circles. So, tell me. Why would you read/not read books with magic in it? Tell me all your reasons! I hear opinions, but it is never well explained.

Like, why is some magic OK, but not all?

And what is wrong with reading magic? (or at least, in YOUR opinion, why don't you?)

Why is it not wrong to read magic? (in your opinion)
